Homebred yearling ram Bearwood Trooper will join the stock rams this season. Trooper has a Maternal and Carcase+ Index in the Top 1% of the Lleyn breed. He is also genotype ARR/ARR and a MyoMax Gold carrier.

Bearwood Lleyn stock ram 599:073041 is 5th top stock sire in the latest National Lleyn Breeding Evaluation, published by Signet. Stock rams 1075:D142, 893:06018, 893:070092 and 1400:08466 are also listed in the top stock sires list.

The Bearwood Lleyn Flock won the Midland Lleyn Club's 2010 Flock Competition.

Cetain high indexed rams have been blood tested to see whether they are carriers of the MyoMAX gene (to learn more about MyoMAX go to the "Stock Rams" page). This year two of the Bearwood stock rams will be two copy carriers (MyoMAX Gold) and one stock ram a one copy carrier.

25 yearling rams are available for sale this year. Of these, approximately 15 will be registered. All the rams have indexes in the top 10% or higher in either the Maternal Index or the Carcase+ Index for the Lleyn breed.
